Raxel Storage Systems have recently completed a project for a major blue chip electrical retailer.
Raxel were asked to review their current process for small part products storage for a national repair centre operation, and offer a solution that could be implemented within tight budget and timescales constraints. The current operation was being carried out all on one floor however this needed to be split between storage on one floor and the repair operation on another.
Raxel proposed moving the stores onto the ground floor below the repair centre and then feed all components up to the upper level using a mix of automated conveyors inline with a spiralveyor and a large goods lift.
The project included the re-location of an existing shelving and racking system, modifications to the sprinkler systems, modifications to an existing mezzanine floor and the supply and installation of automation.
